What's Tested
  • Hemoglobin A1c

Measures the average amount of glucose in your blood over an extended period (typically 8-12 weeks).

  • Apolipoprotein B (ApoB)

ApoB is the major protein on LDL particles which carry substances in your blood that help make plaque, a waxy fat that can block your arteries. An ApoB test measures the amount of ApoB in the blood. An elevated level of ApoB may indicate an increased risk for cardiovascular disease.1

  • hs-CRP

This test measures (at high sensitivity) the level of C-reactive protein: a substance made by the liver in response to inflammation. Elevated CRP levels are associated with several diseases and conditions including chronic inflammation, heart disease, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and cancer.

  • Body mass index

Body Mass Index (BMI) is a simple measurement that uses your height and weight to estimate whether your body weight falls within a healthy range. BMI can help identify potential health risks associated with being underweight, overweight, or obese. While BMI is a useful screening tool, it does not directly measure body fat or overall health. Factors such as muscle mass, age, sex, and body composition can affect BMI results.

  • Blood pressure

Regular blood pressure monitoring can help you and your healthcare provider better understand your cardiovascular health over time. Blood pressure readings are one piece of information that may help guide discussions about lifestyle habits and overall heart health.

FAQ

  • This panel includes five key health metrics: ApoB (cholesterol-related cardiovascular risk), hs-CRP (inflammation), HbA1c (average blood sugar), blood pressure, and BMI.

  • Together, these metrics provide information about important aspects of cardiovascular and metabolic health. The results may help you better understand certain health-related risk factors, but they do not diagnose medical conditions and should be interpreted in the context of your overall health in consultation with a healthcare provider.

  • Your results will be available in your MyLabcorp account, along with educational content and personalized guidance powered by Thrive Global. Because your blood test and biometric results may become available at different times, personalized Thrive content will be available once all components of your Thrive 5 Health Test have been finalized.

  • Thrive Global content includes short videos, articles, recipes, and actionable microsteps.

  • Microsteps are small, science-backed actions designed to help you build and maintain healthier habits over time. These personalized educational suggestions are informed by your results and focus on areas such as food, movement, sleep, stress management, and social connection. They are not medical advice and should be considered alongside guidance from your healthcare provider.

  • Your testing will be performed in a CLIA-certified clinical laboratory. Labcorp provides leading-edge medical laboratory tests and services through a national network of primary clinical laboratories and specialty testing laboratories. Our labs perform regular quality assurance testing to ensure our results are accurate.

  • Your results will be provided to you through our secure online portal to view or print. Results are also made available through a secure portal to the independent healthcare provider who placed your test order.  If you are accessing your results through your Labcorp Patient™ account, all users linked to the account will have access to all OnDemand test results. Results may also be provided to a local, state, and/or federal health authority; for example, many states require the testing laboratory and physician to report test results for certain communicable diseases, such as COVID-19, to local or state health departments.

  • Visit the Labcorp OnDemand® website to browse and purchase laboratory tests and create your Labcorp Patient™ account to view your results. All Labcorp OnDemand testing requires an order from an authorized healthcare professional. For your convenience, Labcorp OnDemand has contracted with independent professional entities (collectively, Providers) to deliver healthcare provider services. Visit a Labcorp location for sample collection; or, if using an at-home collection kit, collect your sample yourself. We’ll let you know when your results are ready and can be accessed through your Labcorp Patient™ account.

  • To align with clinical best practices, we’ve set an age maximum of 100 for consumer-initiated testing. This limit was set to encourage individuals in more advanced age groups - who may have complex medical needs - to receive personalized guidance about testing from their healthcare providers.
